Market research firm Counterpoint released a report on Wednesday that reduced its previous projections for global smartphone shipments in 2025 from a 4.2 % year-on-year increase to a 1.9 % decrease. The two biggest global device manufacturers are seeing a decline in growth, which is fueled by dwindling perspectives. Apple’s sales growth was projected by Counterpoint to increase from 4 % to 2.5 %, which is a decrease from the forecasted growth of 4 % to 2.5 %.
