Observatorul Vera C. Rubin publică primele imagini cerești impresionante

In anticipation of a livestream&nbsp event on Monday, a sneak peek of the first shipment of heavy room images from the new Vera C. Rubin Observatory in Chile made its way to news sites and rețele sociale.

The observatory stated in a blog that “it’s going to create the best time-lapse movie of the cosmos always produced.”

At 11 a.m. ET, the centre, named for the American professor who is widely credited with finding some of the first pieces of dark matter, is live streaming its findings.

The Office of Science at the US Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation are funding it. You can watch the flow below.
