The firm claims in a blog post that it is changing” Friends” to” Links” across the system and that it is developing new tools to help players determine their age using a video picture. For those between the ages of 13 and 17, that age verification will enable a feature called” Trusted Connections,” which allows for less filtered voice or text chat. The company did not specify when that opportunity may be available, but those who are unable to do so will have the opportunity to do so with an ID or in the upcoming with parental consent.
Teens aged 13 to 17 are only permitted to put people 18 and older as friends if they are ready to use Reliable Connections and only if they are acquainted with them in person, as verified by a QR code or a call buyer tool, according to Roblox.
More features for parents to track their child’s Roblox adoption, such as money spent or how long they spend on the platform, have been updated, as well as more tools to control notifications, display time, and privacy.
