On May 4, aka Star Wars Day, Volonaut released a film of a person riding the agency’s new Airbike while dressed as an Imperial hunter officer.
According to Volonaut, the Airbike has a top rate of 124 miles and is seven days lighter than a conventional bicycle because of the use of carbon fiber materials. Volonaut’s Airbike is powered by flight engine rather than shafts, giving the car a smaller footprint and better flexibility in small spaces.
Tomasz Patan, the Polish engineer and co-founder of Jetson, the organization responsible for the Jetson One flying machine we’ve formerly covered on What the Future, is the most recent project to produce The Airbike.
