The privacy-conscious company Signal messaging is putting a blindfold on the prying eyes of the recently returned Windows Recall, an AI-powered Microsoft have that periodically gathers screenshots of your computer to provide it with the “photographic memory” it not requested.

In a blog post on Wednesday, Signal unveiled a new “screen safety” have for its Windows 11 application, which will cause dark screen when you try to take a screenshot of digital rights management articles from Netflix and other sites.

In response to pushback over security and privacy concerns that plagued the new Copilot Plus PCs in the ensuing weeks as Microsoft worked through adjustments, Microsoft removed Recall from the brand next year. Neither Microsoft nor Signal responded to a demand for comment on the subject.
