Apple allegedly taps the Samsung show for the first portable iPhone screens.

As we saw earlier this year, Samsung Display is aware of layers. And it appears that innovation has given them a significant advantage by creating the initial folding iPhone in 2026 with crease-free displays.

Samsung Display ( SDC ), a completely independent business from Samsung itself that produces screens for a number of other businesses, is reportedly going to start mass production of its flexible folding screens later this year in time for Apple’s foldable iPhone launch in the summer of 2026, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.

Although there are growing rumors that Apple will release its first folded phone, perhaps the phone Flip, in 2026, Tuesday’s report suggests that Apple won’t be producing its crease-free windows internally. Ming-Chi Kuo, an insider at SDC, claims that the move could indicate that Apple is more comfortable in SDC to “ensure steady mass production of the folding iPhone in 2026.”

Apple has taken its time to do it right ( and they did better ) in a smartphone business that is extremely populated with devices. And why not work with a business like Samsung Display, which boasts improvements like a double-folding display and also stretchable displays. &nbsp,
