Google wants you to create your upcoming movie using AI. Google unveiled a number of Gemini AI updates at the tech giant’s yearly developers event, some of which were focused on material creation.  ,
The Gemini game introduces the newest generation of Google’s AI image şi video producers, Imagen 4 and Veo 3, to US users, both. Both received regular upgrades, most notably Veo 3’s ability to now automatically generate music for AI video clips. The real fun for authors comes from Flow, an AI application.
Following on from Google Lab’s VideoFX test announced at last week’s I/O, Flow is the most recent development in Google’s AI movie project. Flow is a distinct system from Veo and Imagen, but it uses those concepts to propel innovation. During the headline, Google demonstrated how Flow can be used to combine AI movie clips and knot them together in longer sequences. To make AI videos, you can input text and image prompts, and you can add your own images or use Imagen to create some. Additionally, Flow provides specialized editing tools, such as lens controls that change a shot’s corners and movements. Additionally, it provides scene-building tools that allow for AI-generated videos to be extended.  ,
You’ll need a paid membership to access Flow, which is currently available in the Gemini apps for US customers. With the Google AI Pro plan ($ 20 per month ), which gives you 100 generations per month, you can try out a limited version of Flow. You’ll need Google’s newest premium tier, Ultra, for$ 250 per month if you want to try out the audio generation with Veo 3 and gain more Flow features.
Google stated that Flow was “build for artists, by creatives” when it first launched it. Several artists, including Dave Clark, Henry Daubrez, and Julie Lau, demonstrated how they incorporated Movement into their film approach.
Flow was a surprise addition to today’s keynote address, and it demonstrates how Google continues to invest in creating AI artistic designs. There are many more AI innovative start-ups in the game, including Adobe, which recently underwent a significant AI transformation, OpenAI, which unveiled its first indigenous image generator earlier this year, and many more. Flow undoubtedly aids in expanding Google’s appearance in the marketplace, but we will have to wait to see how it ranks. Google claims Flow does have a range of editing tools that will compete with Sora and Firefly’s products. However, in my opinion, it will need to have some significant power to make up for the high price tag.
Generative AI in electronic media is a contentious subject. One of the biggest issues with developers is the way AI models are trained. According to Google’s and Gemini’s private policies, the company may gather information from your conversations and files. Additionally, you must consent to Google’s prohibited use scheme, which aims to stop the development of abusive and illegal content.
During the I/O presentation, Google revealed a number of other AI changes. Google and HP are working together on Project Starline, a new physical technology. Additionally, the company is expanding the way you can communicate with its AI summarizes in Google Search, adding more agent-based searching assistance. People of both iOS and Android can then access Gemini Live for free. Google held a distinct function last week that was focused on Android and related topics, including Material 3 Expressive, a new user interface and visual identity for Android products, and the newest generation of technology for Pixel phones and smart watches.  ,
