On my Google I/O bucket record, I didn’t have an AI style tool. At Google’s monthly I/O designers convention, the firm unveiled a number of Gemini AI revisions, many of which are coming to Search and, most importantly, our online shopping experiences. Using a photo of your body and a picture of what it might look like on you, the new AI shopping feature allows you to” try on” various pieces of clothing in real time.  ,
To support its new feature, Google created a unique image-generation design. It’s a straightforward plan: Google’s AI combines the input images of your body and the garment. Its exact implementation is undoubtedly more complicated. However, it appeared to work perfectly in the survive demo. The US has the electronic try-on feature right now, with more visible shopping and AI-agentic improvements coming soon.
When I watched the life demo, I was really intrigued. I buy almost anything I need website, and I’ve been duped many times by believing what clothing on models will appear on me. I’m an Artificial writer, and I spend a lot of time worrying about the private concerns of video and photo instruments, but I was also dubious.

After the presentation, I contacted Google to inquire about the privacy laws governing this new element. Your published photograph is never used for training, according to a Google spokesperson, and it is never used for anything other than virtual testing. You can remove or change it at any time because it is not shared with another Google goods, services, or third parties.
This surprised me a lot, but it was jaw-dropping. In the era of AI, software companies are usually so dependent on data that it seemed like a no-brainer for Google to use a source of this kind. Human-generated images like these would be beneficial for future type improvements because Google spent a significant amount of time at I/O showcasing its new Artificial image and video capabilities.  ,
Tech and clothing companies have been working on this issue for years. My CNET partner Katie Collins wrote about one dress-sizing app  up in 2012, and Amazon’s included AI for its , clothing sales  , too, in recent years.  ,
This style design has” a strong understanding of the human figure,” as Vidhya Srinivasan, Google’s vice president and general manager of advertising and commerce, put it. We’ll have to run tests to see if it works for everyone’s figure types and sizes. When it comes to variety, AI photo generators, especially early types from Google, aren’t usually great. However, I’m willing to give Google a shot because it claims it didn’t use my images to train its AI models quickly.
I’m also dubious despite my best efforts to think Google has created a 2025 edition of Cher’s closet from Clueless. There is no guarantee that the artificial intelligence that Google generates did actually reflect how you look in real life. However, perhaps this is a potential wise usage of AI rather than dumping sand on the internet.
