AcasăInteligența artificială și învățarea automatăI tried Fujifilm's Adorable New X Half Camera and its Bagful of...

Am încercat Adorabilul nou aparat foto X Half de la Fujifilm și Bagful of Fun, pe ambele le-am încercat.

Fujifilm has suddenly, publicly announced the X Half, a very small cameras that was designed to resemble half-frame video devices and first 2000s point-and-shoots, after months of stories. It uses an optical camera and a lateral monitor to assist in taking horizontal photos and videos. I spent a few hours testing out the X Half, and it turned out to be very enjoyable as Fujifilm had hoped. It’s the kind of point you’d take on a night out with friends and keep it close in your purse or pocket so you can quickly and easily get moments without using your phone.

However, you might find its cost delay. Based on my brief time with this tiny lens, here is a brief preview.

The technology

Fujifilm X half

It’s undoubtedly small, though a little larger than the smallest digital devices from the 2000s.Geoffrey Morrison/CNET
  • 17.7 cameras (3, 648×4, 864 or 7, 296×4, 864 for 2-in-1 graphics )
  • 1-inch device
  • 32mm f2.8 lens ( 35mm equivalent )
  • optical camera
  • Fujifilm video models
  • 240 grams ( 8.5 ounces )

Specs don’t tell the whole story with this camera, but they’re still interesting. A 1-inch device isn’t unheard of in a camera this size. The Sony XV-1 II is basically the same size and has one, though it’s even more expensive. Most, like the less expensive Panasonic ZS99, have far smaller sensors. The X Half’s sensor is oriented vertically, like the rear screen. This speaks to the main design intention of the X Half. This is a camera for taking photos you can quickly and easily share on social media. Images have a 3:4 aspect ratio, as does video (1,080×1,440).

Only the lens and exposure have buttons. Yes, that’s a movie advance lever, and it’s useful for purposes other than just vintage style points.Geoffrey Morrison/CNET

One of the X Half’s best skills is the ability to get a side-by-side photo, which Fuji refers to as a 2-in-1. After in this demo, you can see some examples. Use the vintage video advance lever to “advance” the film, take a picture, and then get a second picture. The cameras also combines the two images into a second photograph where they are side by side, separated by a column with a design of your choosing. Similar techniques can be applied to clips, and perhaps the most intriguing is the combination of both photos and videos. &nbsp,

The X Half features Fuji’s popular drama models because it is a Fuji cameras. These alter the picture in ways that you’d normally only be able to achieve with considerable editing. These alter some aspects of colour and voice, often dramatically, beyond just a filtration you can add to Instagram. &nbsp,

You can click through the various modes while looking at the main screen and see how they look in the effective modeling function on a small extra display on the back. There are” creative filters,” like” toy,” “high-key,” “light leak,” and other similar ones, which are more similar to what you’d find in other point-and-shoot cameras. Although I wasn’t able to test them all, I did have a good time with some of the types I did.

optical camera and a lateral monitor. The effective picture simulation is typically displayed on the secondary display on the left. Additionally, there is a contact screen that you can click through. This serves as a supplementary display for some recipes and options as well.Geoffrey Morrison/CNET

There’s also a video camera mode that turns the X Half into the desired movie model method for 36, 54, or 72 pictures. There is no demo in this style, and there are only a few other choices. In essence, it makes you utilize the X Half as a lens for a movie. Some photography, I’m aware, enjoy these kinds of limiting circumstances. I don’t have a fan of movies, maybe because I had to grow up with the limitations of them, but I am aware of how many people find them enjoyable.

Although the new X Half software isn’t available for us to download, it should have some exciting ways to “develop” the images captured with the camera and modify/make the 2-in-1s.

The X Half has an LED flash, Bluetooth, and uses the exact cell as another Fuji cameras. For instant-film printing, it can also be connected to one of Fujifilm’s Instax printing. The X Half will also be accessible in all-black or with a charcoal best, similar to the camera I tested’s camera’s gold best. &nbsp,

Hands ( well, hand ) on

The side-by-side “2-in-1” format allows you to combine photos for a variety of artistic purposes. This can be done with the camera ( most of the examples below ), with the upcoming X Half app, or in most photo editing software ( me ) if you want to take two things seriously next to each other while you’re on the go with the camera but don’t have the app yet.Geoffrey Morrison/CNET

This camera is adorablely little. A pocket-sized, palm-of-your-hand machine that is not in use. When I was walking around downtown LA, I discovered that the X Half was nearly gone when I wasn’t using it, hidden from view, and cupped in my hands. Even if I had turned off something after the final shot, it would be ready to go in a moment when I would discover something interesting. It was incredibly simple to select between various movie models. Simply swipe the intermediate screen, and you’re done. &nbsp,

Amazingly, using the X Half is similar to using a GoPro. The exterior screen’s jabs and taps allow for a wide range of access. The single gauges are used are for aperture and exposure. I enjoy using buttons on monitors, but this one was easier for those who weren’t used to larger ones. The built-in beam is activated by a side change.

The side-by-side photos are cleverly used to convey a message. For example, one picture can be a close-up and the other an establishing shot. Or the design can be adapted from another angle, etc. I previously stated that I didn’t like challenging situations with a camera, but this kind of obstacle did I love. I’d look for some intriguing images, and therefore check to see if there are any local images that match or contrast with them. It was a completely different way to take pictures, compared to what I’m used to, which is ( here’s that word again ) fun.

I can’t give a definitive opinion on the picture quality because I just spent a few hours with the cameras. It appeared good-looking, with nice color reproduction, to me at first. Although not particularly impressive, low light appeared satisfactory. The demo contains no edited photos.

One of the built-in filters lets you select a single color and strip out all the others. Not a particularly new concept, but it works well here.

Surely, The X Half appeals to a particular demographic. Have no fear: You’re hardly the video if you have no idea why someone would like a tiny, horizontal lens like this. A friend, who is good the video, quickly came up with the idea and demanded one after I described the cameras to her. Is it possible to use your phone to do almost all the X Half does? Yes, but any lens should do that. The advantage of not having to use your phone constantly and being able to miss the editing process is around. Besides that, the X Half is gorgeous.

However, the cost is one of the issues. This might be far beyond the budget of the very people who would like it the most, at$ 850. One of the factory owners expressed curiosity while I was testing it out at LA’s Grand Central Market. She seemed very interested in it after I explained it to her, but she inquired,” Is it costly?” When I explained the charge to her, she was disappointed, saying,” Oh, yeah, cheap. Although everyone is getting more expensive these times, someone could get the Ricoh GR III, our present favorite point-and-shoot go lens, for a much bigger device and be both conveniently small and affordable. &nbsp,

But, neither the GR III nor any other cameras currently possess the “fun” issue. Is that the price of the superior? When I continue to test one after its late June start, we’ll see.
