SpaceX is preparing for a second, completely recyclable test flight on Tuesday for its Starship launch vehicle, which was created with the goal of traveling through space with people and cargo one time. Starship has launched for the seventh time on May 27th, although some of the craft’s components have exploded and been rebuilt since its initial release in April 2023. In 2025, Starship will build on its fourth test flight.

The launch vehicle’s higher ship portion exploded in the Earth’s atmosphere during the seventh and eighth check flights, which has caused two disasters in recent Starship launches. SpaceX safely launched the washable booster rocket during these launches.

In a published mission statement, SpaceX revealed that it isn’t planning to take the capsule on Tuesday’s seventh test flight.

After being discarded by the rest of the Starship ship, the capsule will be carrying tools to analyze data that may help SpaceX possibly improve performance and stability on future iterations of the release vehicle.

The Starship start vehicle will make its first appearance on May 27 at 7: 30 p.m. ET from the Starbase shuttle near Brownsville, Texas.

At 7 p.m. ET, a common video will be accessible 30 minutes before the start window. You can follow SpaceX on the company’s official Flight 9 vision website and the @SpaceX accounts on SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s X social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, to watch the company’s live stream through several channels at once.

Musk is expected to release the company about its future steps following the test flight. The besieged billionaire has spoken for the company for the first time since the company’s second flight in March 2024 during a Starship launch window.
