I’ve noticed a change in the desire for artificial intelligence on our equipment. What’s being created by Google’s Artificial video-generator device, Veo 3, is causing my social media accounts to explode with contempt. It is obvious that we will struggle to tell the difference between fiction and reality thanks to the unsettlingly reasonable video of bogus people and voices it produces. In other words, the AI excrement appears less clumsy.
However, Anthropic CEO Mark Zuckerberg is empathetic and warns that AI does squander half of all entry-level white-collar positions. Dario Amodei suggests that the government intervenes in order to stop tasks from disappearing quickly in an interview with Politico.  ,
But as we prepare for Apple’s major WWDC lecture on Monday, I have a different perspective on the headlines that show Apple is trailing in the Artificial race. What exactly is the taste of AI that citizens want or need at the moment? And will it matter if Apple continues to delay the release of its long-awaited ( and long-delayed ) personalized Siri when people aren’t optimistic about how AI will affect our society?
In this week’s episode of One More Thing, which I embedded over, I go over some of the new monitoring from Bloomberg that discusses management modifications on the Siri group and how there are various opinions regarding what consumers want from Siri. If Apple approach AI in a way that makes Siri a specialized chatbot, or should it simply improve the device control interface? ( Possibly a little bit of both. )
After WWDC, I anticipate a lot of grit and commentary about the state of Siri and Apple’s AI in addition to analogies to additional services like ChatGPT. However, I hope we can use those resentments to express what we really want in the assistant’s upcoming course of action by talking to our wallets and sharing our feelings. Do you want a Siri that can make decisions for you or one that can understand environment better? As Apple gives us the next look at the prospect of iphone on Monday and maybe a look at how the upcoming Siri is going, I’ll be more specific about this.
