How to save Google Maps while it is internet
First of all, you won’t be able to access Google Maps entirely. You’ll want to acquire a certain area before your trip, which might be a city, state, or area where you’ll be spending time and might not have any phone service.

To get the map, you must get Wi-Fi-connected. To save offline maps from a wireless device, go to the Offline Maps page, tap the gear icon in the top right corner, find Over Wi-Fi or cellular network, and then select Download from the list. You’ll be redirected to the Offline Maps section, where you can view all of your offline maps once your map has been installed.
