I’d have to say Sony’s ULT Field 5 speech if you asked me what my favorite fresh portable Bluetooth speaker of 2025 was so far. I referred to it as one of the&nbsp, best-sounding Bluetooth&nbsp speakers I tested in its dimensions class when it first launched in April. Although it cost$ 330, which is pretty expensive, I was hoping to see it discounted in due course. A few other Sony Bluetooth speakers are currently available for good money, including the compact ULT Field 1 ($ 88 or$ 42 off ) and the new ULT Field 3 ($ 150 or$ 50 off ). The ULT Field 5 has the best noise of the number and is arguably the best nevertheless, despite all of them being great lightweight speakers. &nbsp,

In the past, I believed Sony’s Bluetooth listeners were good enough but no outstanding. Sony, however, has considerably improved the sound quality of its Bluetooth listeners with the ULT line.

I also like the fresh ULT Field 3 and ULT Field 5, which can either be sat diagonally or laid diagonally. With an IP67 documentation, both speakers are completely waterproof, dustproof, and rustproof. I ended up using the heavier ULT Field 5 more frequently than the lighter ULT Field 3, which also comes with a fresh retractable shoulder strap. The ULT Field 3 weighs 2.65 pounds while the ULT Field 5 weighs 7.27 weight, which is a significant change. ( Read my hands-on first look at both speakers )
